Step into the world of GIFFARD

Giffard, as a dedicated producer of liqueurs and syrups, is proud to welcome you in the heart of its production site. This visitors’ center is dedicated to the history and know-how that are the trademarks of our family business, and is designed to help our guests discover the sort of magic that turns fruit into liqueur. The center offers glimpses of history and sensorial discoveries and is aptly named after the liqueur that gave the Giffard brand its enduring fame.

Espace Menthe-Pastille, a symbol of the Anjou region

As an independent, family-owned business founded in Angers in 1885 the relocated in Avrillé since 1972, the Giffard company is emblematic of the Anjou region.

Take our unique tour, and discover :

  • Our history : on display are posters, bottles, original documents some of which date back, to the company’s creation;
  • Our know-how: enjoy learning about the trade through a blend of educational perspective and sensorial discovery;
  • Our emphasis on  regional crop production (blackcurrants coming exclusively from the Loire Valley, our Mitcham Mint is grown in Anjou)
  • Our range of products, and the many ways of enjoying them.

So give a free rein to all of your senses…

Open all year round, Espace Menthe-Pastille celebrates the Giffard know-how. It is divided into three areas – historical, cultural and sensorial – and takes you on a guided tour of the factory, starting with fruit delivery, then processing and maceration, and finally bottling. To round up your tour, a cocktail  and sensorial bar await for you…
